Just Another Day On The Farm

Another year of horseback riding lessons. The girls are in love with the horses; Suzy, Lily, and Rulana. The mother and two daughters who give lessons are just wonderful. They even let Sarah start riding. We seem to get by with just a little English and very little German.

Locks of Love

Sometimes a gal just needs a change. So...I put the girls in the car and drove to the salon and had them cut 12 inches of hair off. Even though it's more work now, I love it. Now my hair sits in a baggy which is kind of creepy and will be mailed to Locks of Love!

Precious Pumkins!

We spent a great day at a German pumkin patch fit with a corn maze, bails of hay for the kids to climb on and even samples of pumpkin champagne which is actually quite tasty.

We need prayer!

Here is a little update from the bodacious Brown's. If you know anyone that is in the Army, PLEASE give them a hug, our life is very challenging. Kelly left for training 2 days ago and should be home the day before Thanksgiving. Then he will leave the day after Thanksgiving and go back out to training and should be home right before Christmas. We will get some vacation time to take and then he is scheduled to go back to Iraq for his 3rd tour but for 15 months. I'm not telling you this to feel sorry for us, but just so you will pray for our Army, because we are all tired. I am very thankful that we will have the holidays together, I'm already planning my menu which includes a deep fried turkey!!! YUMMY! I also need a lot of prayer. So...I have figured out that I get my funny sense of humor from God although sometimes I don't think Him and I think each others jokes are so funny. If you pray for God to show you where you are supposed to be and how you can serve Him, be prepared for Him to answer you. For this deployment I had my own plan of moving home so the girls could get extra attention that they deserve and for some extra help for me. Well...God answered and said NO. NO! what do you mean NO! (see, not a funny joke) God has asked me to put together and help run a support group for the wives of deployed soldiers here in Baumholder, Germany. So that is what I'm doing. I am very excited and VERY nervous, this is WAAAAAY out of my comfort zone. My prayer is through this support group, that is desperately needed here, ladies will come to know and love God the way I do. Please pray for me. I know that was very long, but my girls are in school, Kelly is gone, and I have 29,812 words to use up (the average woman speaks 30,000 words per day, now that's funny). xoxoxoxo

During the summer, Kelly, my Mom & Dad, and the girls and I spent the afternoon having a picnic, exploring the woods, and playing in the creek. Madison & Grace played in the muddy water and caught guppies and Sarah & I went for a nature walk and collected "treasure", leaves, rocks and we even saw chipmunk. It was a great day.

Life is sooooo Good!

What better way to spend an afternoon then taking a nap in Daddy's chair with my dog. Aren't we cute?

A beautiful day to be outside!

Grandma Brown sent Madison a pair of roller skates, and now she won't take them off. If she's not begging to go outside to skate, she's got them on in the house. I feel sorry for our downstairs neighbors. She gets better everyday.

Happy 6th Birthday, Grace!

Our Gracie Grace turned 6 years old on April 30th. We celebrated by having some of her friends over for dog bone cake and opening gifts. Her favorite was a poster of a dog and a new dog stuffed animal. Do you see a theme here? And then we were all of to a place called the Hambachtal. It is an indoor water park, built with a great water slide and whirlpool. She had a great day.

He Is Risen! Happy Easter!

He is Risen, He is Risen indeed! Happy Easter everyone. We started the day with a treasure hunt around the house including maps. Mommy is so creative.
Then we got dressed up for church fitted with beautiful dresses from Grammy Mac. Aren't they lovely! Then back home to color and decorate eggs. How do you like our Egg Heads?

Bonjour!

We had a great time in Paris although I saw my life flash before my eyes a few times. The drivers there are CRAZY! Everyone there knows where the lanes start & stop except...you guessed it, US! The buildings there are breath taking and the Eiffel Tower was all that I imagined. The line was very long for us all to go up to the first floor. I couldn't miss the opportunity, so I walked up all 280 something steps (I lost count). I had a great picture of the girls sitting in front of some flowers with the tower in the background but the flash went out so you are going to have to use your imagination and look at the pics from my car. Another chapter in The Brown's European Vacation. Chevy Chase has nothing on us!

Since Kelly has come home, we are on the move. We are trying to see as much as we can. This is Trier (tree-air), the oldest city in Germany. And it is said to be the place where the first Christians were persecuted. We were not able to go into the churches because they were having service but they are just amazing to look at.
